Supporting Victorians experiencing domestic violence

safe Together nework

Safe places where people experiencing domestic violence can find trained support, compassion, and a path to safety.

Behind every statistic is a person seeking safety

Every day in Victoria, police respond to over 90 family violence incidents. Safe Together Network creates pathways to support through everyday spaces across Victoria - making help visible to those who need it, when they need it most.

How it works

IDENTIFY

We partner with businesses and community spaces to become designated Safe Together locations.

MENTOR

Staff receive expert training to recognise signs of domestic violence and provide appropriate support.

CONNECT

Those seeking help can discreetly access information, resources and pathways to specialised services.

SUPPORT

Our network creates multiple points of safety across communities, breaking isolation and building hope.

Why safe places matter

For someone experiencing domestic violence, traditional support services can be difficult to access safely. Our network of Safe Places creates discreet entry points to support through familiar locations—like pharmacies, libraries, and community centres.

When someone enters a Safe Together location, they find trained staff who can provide immediate assistance, private space, and connection to specialised services—creating a critical bridge to safety.
